Once you have completed the requirements of becoming a Real Estate Salesperson you may upgrade your license to become a Broker. You may take this 60 Hour Broker course at any time after becoming a licensed salesperson, but you will not be able to sit for the State Broker's Exam or obtain your Broker's license until you have 3 active years of licensure out of the previous 5 years.

The broker's course allows you to become a managing broker, associate broker, or even be the broker of record for your own company. The course covers a wide range of topics from a refresher of the license law, land use and finance material you learned in your salesperson's course, to real estate office management and brokerage. All are designed to give you a solid base of knowledge for running your own real estate brokerage.
